Fighting Fantasy is a series of gamebooks designed by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingston (they also started Games Workshop in the UK).
There are about 60 books in all and I first remember reading/playing them in my childhood. For each book you are required to roll dice to determine skill, stamina and luck. For some books there are additional skills to determine before the book is read.
When reading the book, you are given options as to what you would like to do and turn to the appropriate paragraph. On some pages you will have to battle foes and monsters who have their own skill and stamina scores.
Hello there, welcome to the FF blogsphere. I also blog on FF books, as I try to rebuild my collection, so seems we have some aims in common. Mine’s over on http://fightyourfantasy.blogspot.co.uk
I look forward to reading up on your adventures, have loads of fun 🙂
Just came across this blog the other day and I’ve got to say thank you dude.
Your reviews made me chuckle (in a good way) and brought back loads of memories of these books.
Will you ever finish attempting them all?
Hey, thanks! Yes, I definitely will at some point – Just been lacking time recently. Watch this space!
